Welcome to 2013 Kids' Marathon. We want to thank you for you interest in leading a team of 10 or more in this year's event. RACE STARTS AT 9AM @ Washington Square Park! **NEW RACE START TIME**






 


KIDS' MARATHON GROUP REGISTRATION:

Please follow the steps outlined below in order to register your group online.


NOTE: Only after the Team Coach has registered and created a team online can the other team members (group members) complete their online registrations.


 Deadline to register a NEW team is September 27, 2013.


Team members can still be added to team rosters until October 13, 2013


 


HOW TO MAKE A TEAM (coaches):


The team coach is in charge of registering the team and paying the team fee. 


 


1. Click HERE to Register today online for the 2013 Kids Marathon! 
2. Fill out Participant information, Address, Contact information, T-shirt size and Event questions.
3. Under Event Information, choose the size of group you want your team to be and click “create a team.” 
i. Fill out the Team Information and make sure the “notify captain when new members join” is checked. 
ii. Click “continue.”                  
iii. You will now notice a “Participating on team: …” has been made.


4. Accept the waiver and click "continue."
5. “Review my cart” will show the team cost, which is what needs to be paid.  Fill out payment information
i. Type in two security codes


ii. Click “charge card.”
iii. Confirmation screen will appear with a confirmation number. NOTE: This is not your promotion code for your team members.
iv. Promotion codes will be generated and sent to you in a separate email (this is not your confirmation email).NOTE: Promotion codes are generated & emailed within 7 business days. If you have not received your code by then, please contact us at
kidsmarathon@kcmarathon.org


 NOTE: Please register your team in plenty of time to receive this code and distribute to your team members so they may register accordingly. Deadline to register a NEW team is September 27, 2013.


 


 


HOW TO JOIN A TEAM (team members):


Once a team has been created by the Team Coach, the other team members may join the team using the "promotion code" to register at no cost. Here are 5 easy steps to help you through the process. 
1. Click HERE to Register today for the 2013 Kids Marathon! 


2. Fill out Participant information, Address, Contact information, T-shirt size and Event questions. 


3. Event Information, choose (size of team, coach will give you this information) participants and click “join a team.”                                                                                          



4. “Review my cart” will show the team cost, which has already been paid by team coach.


5. Enter your E-mail address to retrieve your confirmed registration information. Type in the two security code words shown and click “Finish.”
i. You will receive a Confirmation page with a confirmation number for your registration.
ii. The coach will then be notified that your child has joined the team/group. 


 


 NOTE: Group registration ends on Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 11:59 PM. No additions will be able to be made to groups after that time. Participants will still be able to sign up for the race as individuals at the race expo for $20.


 


TEAM PRICING:


This year there will be a scaling price depending on the amount of participants you anticipate to participate to be in your group. Note the team coach must pay in full the amount when signing up the team.  These fees do not include the processing fee.

PAPER REGISTRATION:


Paper registration is available HERE for those that choose to not register online. The team coach/captain can retrieve the paper registration and then add/register the members online. All paper registrations must have a signed waiver and be turned in at EXPO/ PACKET PICKUP. 


 


EXPO/PACKET PICKUP:


**Only the Team Coach is allowed to pick up the teams packets and T-shirts**

Kids' Marathon Booth: 
Please come to the Kids' Marathon packet pick-up booth, this is seperate from other race booths.
Training Log: 
Bring your teams completed Training Logs to receive the "Certificate of Completion" that will be printed on site (Please allow 30 min for printing).
NOTE: There will be NO race day registration or packet pickup. All runners must pick up their race packet at the Health & Fitness Expo on Thursday or Friday. Your last chance to register is Friday night at the Expo for $20/ per person.

I ran the half marathon last weekend and I just wanted to comment on what a great event it was. Your team really put together a first class running event. From the full marathon to the kids marathon, I can't think of anything that needed improvement.
